Sergei Teaches A Master Class For The First Time.
Sergei Teaches A Master Class For The First Time
You’d never know it was his first time to teach. What lucky young dancers to have this experience! It will always be something they can treasure, remember, and tell.
Sergei Polunin / Сергей полунин “Entrelacé” …passion intertwined.
Sergei Polunin / Сергей полунин “Entrelacé” A passionate montage of Sergei and his ballerinas. A most beautiful man illustrating some of the most beautiful choreography with his lucky(?) ballerinas. The question mark signifies his ability to make most ballerinas disappear…
My darling students and the vintage pics from my dance studio, Ingram School of Dance (founded in 1933) make for some really great memes!
Penelope Jane & Sergei “Ponoonin” Polunin
My 4 year old niece Penelope Jane vows one day to marry Sergei Polunin, the “man who dances in the church.” Until then, she’s happy just to dance like he does and watch the “Ponoonin” video every day. Every. Single. Day.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last year, you’ve seen the incredible, gorgeous, heavily tattooed ballet dancer, Sergei Polunin, perform in a church-like, barn-like setting to “Take Me To Church” by Hozier. Well, the proclaimed “bad boy of ballet” is her “Ponoonin.”
So, here I present to you, an original Penelope Jane performance, inspired by Sergei Polunin.
In my spare time (when I’m supposed to be doing something else that I don’t really want to do), I like to create memes, usually motivational in nature. I use photos from my own library 99% of the time. Since my studio has been around since 1933, I’ve got some really cool old vintage pics, and several thousand performance stills from over 30 years of recitals since I’ve owned it.
Here is a collection of dance-related memes of my own making. Hope you like. Leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you. =)
Kimberly Kay Learns Ballet
My bittiest niece performs to “The Lady Song,” a baby ballet class staple. We dance to it at the end of every lesson. Click here to watch.
